October Meeting Wrap-up - Next Meeting November 17th, 6:30 PM
Dear Friends,
Last night we had a joyful time of fellowship together as Patrick opened our expositional study of Ephesians in the first verses of Ephesians. We welcomed several new folks to our study and we look forward to getting to know them better. If the fellowship time after the study was any indication, I don't think that this will be a problem :-)

After a light supper of sloppy joes, we sat down and we gave a brief overview of the study and the work we have been doing in the Asheville/Fletcher area for our new guests. After a sweet time of singing, Patrick started the Bible study portion. After going over some of the basic background (identifying Paul as the writer, the approximate date ~62 AD, the likely recipients Ephesians, Paul's relationship with the Ephesians (cf. Acts 20)) Patrick then focused on the key words "saints in Ephesus who are faithful in Christ Jesus" in verse one. We examined what a saint was as defined by the Bible - anyone who is in Christ Jesus. We then examined what it meant to be faithful. We talked about true faith and what that looks like and is. Patrick challenged us all to examine ourselves to see if we are indeed to be found faithful in Christ.
Please note that our next meeting in November will be the 17th at 6:30 PM at the Hostetlers again. If you need directions or more information please email us using the link on the right side of this page.
And, as we stated in the study, if anyone has any questions or reflections about anything we talked about in the study, feel free to post them on any of the threads (including this one). See you in November!
